Kayla tipped me off to this incredible little story today.

These three little pals were found clinging to each other after three days of rain storms in a pool filter. After they were removed from the filter, they stuck together for a bit longer before reluctantly parting ways.

To be more specific, The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang (also known as The Sasquatch Gang). It was recommended to be my Dustin, who saw it some months ago and told me it was hilarious and I needed to see it. So last night Mae and I were browsing the available titles in OnDemand and there it was. I remembered Dustin telling me about it, so we turned it on. The beginning was not good, and the rest was not good either. I won’t tell you not to watch it, but I will advise you to remove any and all objects that could be used to stab yourself in the face before you turn it on. Justin Long and Joey Kern are really the only funny parts in the whole movie. Justin Long is a redneck with a mullet, and Joey Kern doesn’t open his mouth when he talks and always drinks Coke. If you a free have 87 minutes, go ahead and watch. It’s still available OnDemand, and it will be airing on The Movie Channel here and there.
Anyways, aside from that glorious waste of time, I’ve been watching lots of other movies that weren’t a complete waste of time. As of right now, I have matched the number of movies I watched in 2007, which is 97. I started out the year with the goal of watching 365 movies this year, but I am certain that this particular goal will not be reached. However, the goal was really just to watch more than last year, which is a success.
I’ve been toying around with Wordpress and adding in some neat stuff, mostly the sidebar. I’m working on integrating that to the whole site, but until then, it’s only on the blog. It shows my status from Facebook (if anyone can think of a better heading for that section, let me know. I don’t like the one I have now), and the last three movies that I’ve watched. If you have any suggestions for what else can go there (archives are in the work, maybe..) let me know.
The Office Season 4 came out on DVD today. I have seen bits and pieces of various episodes (I watched some in River Falls when Mae was watching Gay’s Anatomy with the girls), more will be posted after I have had the chance to fully consume all of it’s goodness.
Aside from all of that, things are normal. My car is nearing 20,000 miles, and I forgot my iPod at work. Mae’s iPod will have to suffice. Even if it is loaded with boy bands and other lame music.

I’m really regretting not doing this sooner. Wordpress is so much easier. And in case you didn’t notice, and I’m sure you did, the cross posting works great.
I know I’ve been slacking on the updates lately, but there’s been a lot going on. The RNC started today, riots followed shortly after. Work has been a little hectic as we approach the end of our remodel. Went to the fair yesterday with Robert and Mae, beer was consumed, food was consumed, fun was had. I opened today and I’m getting pretty sleepy. I want to sleep, but I need to stay awake longer otherwise I will be awake all day tomorrow and I’ll be super tired at work.
Lots of changes on the brink, nothing set in stone yet. Talks need to be had, plans need to be solidified. More to follow.

I decided today that I am no longer interested enough with Livejournal to keep using it. I like the flexibility and freedom of Wordpress much better, so I’ve decided to switch. I will be testing a system that will automatically crosspost items from Wordpress to Livejournal, so we’ll see how that goes. There are a few scripts out there to do it.
In the time being, have a look at this and let me know what you think. I tried to copy over my theme to Wordpress, and it looks pretty good. Not perfect, but pretty good. I still have to figure a few things out like how to keep some of my existing stuff running (music stats, movies, Netflix queue, etc.) so be patient with those.
More later.
